I fixed this not-so-bento-like lunch last weekend for my boys. Another new items to add on to my bento box collection. Cute box?
It's round shape, to make it easy, i made a round shape rice and top with an fried egg on top, and add some smiley face on it. Surround it with some nuggets, luncheon meat and anchovies, quick and easy. Some mummies ask me, the lunch look big portion, actually it's not too big, from picture it look big, when my boys are hungry, most of the time they will finish the food i give them. :)
This will be my last post for bento for this year, hope i did not "torture" your eyes with this not-so-nice bento post.

Belated Christmas Party @ home

During Christmas eve and Christmas day, we didn't go anywhere, just stay at home. On Christmas eve we do some deco at the house to prepare for the belated chrismas party on Sunday. Two unwelcome friends also decide to paid me visit during christmas eve, which are flu and cough bugs. :( What a day to start my long weekend.
p.s. i borrow some pictures from Elaine, because i was busy, didn't take much pictures and also the pictures i took some are blur and dark. :( the official photographer are busy grilling or bbq-ing the food.

A short gateaway to PD again...

School holidays over soon, during this long school holidays break i didn't bring my boys to anywhere..feeling guilt, we brought them to PD again, since they like to play sand and they like beach. This time round we didn't stay at Avillion, Avillion is fully booked except for water chalet, we are staying at water chalet last round, it's not cheap, so we opt it out this time. We stay at Regency Tanjung this time, it's a hotel apartment, from the hotel outer look, it look very nice and also the place is well maintain, but not the rooms :( The apartment don't have any air cond at the living room, only ceiling fan and air cond is in the room, and it's not cold at all. Anyway, it's just a night stay, so i better don't complain much.

view from our room....by the time we check in is already about 7pm..we manage to catch the sun set.
from our room we can see Avillion Amiral Cove, this is the two bungalow house by the sea. Nice?
Next day, we wake up early then had breakfast at the cafe, i like the cafe set up. It's stall type, they serve western food, local, indian, japanese food, they even have those banana fritter (goreng pisang) as dessert!! It's not buffet style, all is a la carte. We had our breakfast facing the sea, a very nice view.

After breakfast the boys can't wait to jump into the swimming pool and had a swim. After a quick swim, we walk around at the beach, since the night we check in into the hotel, Cruz already bugging me he want to sit "banana boat"! They had that while there was a time we went to PD to have seafood dinner and let the kids play a while at the beach. Ever since then, they love banana boat. (of course the boat driver didn't over turn the boat, that's why my boys still not scare about banana boat).
I told hub to go with them on the banana boat, your truly is scary cat, i never had banana boat before, because i don't know how to swim!! I always scare banana boat, the boat driver always make you fall into water before finish the "route". Hub said he want to take picture, ask me to go with the boys, i still not willing to go and on the other hand the boys keep bugging me when they see other people ride the banana boat. Lastly, "BY FORCE" your truly had her first "virgin" banana boat ride and another on the new water spot "airhead".

I told my boys, after this airhead i don't want banana boat, i told them i'm scare, they told me, "mummy, no scare, you hold tight tight so no scared) I told the boat driver, don't make us fall into the water!! I don't know how to swim!!! I "threaten" him, if he make us fall into water i'm not going to paid him money. hahahhahahhaha

don know why suddenly, Fearles got a very "cool and serious" face. ahhahahahha
After the water spot, the boys back to swimming pool having a good time there again. Even though it just a short stay but the boys had tons of fun. They just love water!
We hardly can see a chinese here, i think we are the only four. hahhahah

Today is Christmas, here i would like to wish my friends, my blog readers and everyone a very Happy Merry Christmas!! We will have our belated christmas celebration this sunday, looking forward to it.

Over the long weekend......

I did some baking and roasting on Friday since it is a public holiday. I got the new orange cupcakes recipe from this mummy, I have yet to try out and my previous baking was using premix, this round i thought i should try this with the step by step recipe.
I also grill/roast some chicken wings for the family for dinner, same recipe as before. Me and the two boys woke up late on Friday morning, and i lazy to fix them any bento lunch, so i bring them out for MCD lunch. hahahahhaha
Back home i took out my chicken wings and start grill/roast it, while roasting the wings, i set up the 8 feet tall christmas tree (ya, we are very late this year, blame on the laziness).

Although the cupcakes look not nice, but the taste is good, not i said it, i got prove. I bake about 24 cupcakes, on the night itself all gone, each of the kids ate three, including your truly! LOL! It only left 4 for the next day breakfast. Since i got a fail project, i never give up, i bake another batch on Saturday, hahahhahahhahahahahaha, this round i use my "cute" silicon cup, this time look a bit better, and i use some "harder" papercup which can hold the batter better.
look better this round? hahahhahahah.....i want to try another batch this week, as those in the papercup one it 'sank" after i took it out from the oven. :( Sifu Elaine told me either i set the temperature too high or for some reason i have to find out. :( More practise to go and hope i can get a better one next round. I won't throw away the not-so-nice cupcakes, but i got a bunch "guinea" pig to try out my cupcakes, they can "sapu" all. hahahahhahah

Been lazy lately, ever since my boys start school holidays i also "stop" making any bento lunch for the weekend, i also start my own "holiday" hahahhahahhah
Although my boys don't complain don't have bento lunch but i still prepare food for them on the weekend but without the cute decoration. Last weekend i decide to make one not really "christmassy" look bento for them using my new bento boxs collection - Ben 10. They are happy to see the "snow man" in their bento and with some chocolate (christmas must have some chocolate??)
"snow man" rice, their all time favourite anchovies, spam luncheon meat, one meat ball, chocolate and apples.

A Good Experience

Last week Wednesday (9/12) i took half day leave and brought my sons for CASTING. Yes, you read it correct, i bring my sons for casting!
Week before when i "hunting" some gifts at ToyRyus @ Bangsar Village, two malay young ladies approach me, and give me a flyer, asking me how old is my boys, i am a bit puzzle and still thinking what this two ladies want. They explain to me, they are from Chili Pepper Film House, they are looking for boys who is age from 3-6 ,able to speak, asian look, no camera shy, to participate in the advertisement for Enfagrow.
I told her i will think about it (knowing that my boys won't get it). After thinking for few days, i said to myself why not i just sent them for casting, at least give them a chance to try and gain some experience, it will be quite fun. ( Not that i so desperate want to become a "sin ma") hahahhahahahahha
Since i still got some annual leave to clear, i decide to take half day leave on Wednesday and bring them to cast. Reach there, my boys are the only two for casting on that day (they give a week time for parent who wish to bring the kids over for casting). At first my boys still behave a bit, after she saw the lady who set up the camera, they start their "monkeying", Cruz facing the camera do all the funny faces, monster faces, while Fearles stand behind the camera and giggle non stop. I really scare my two boys knocked the camera down.
I ask Fearles to go first but Cruz said he want to go first. Cruz didn't feel shy at all in front of the camera, he cannot stand still, walk front walk back, turn here and there. The lady who cast them got a hard time to ask Cruz to stand still. Then the lady ask some questions,
What is your name? Cruz Lee (suppose to answer as My name is Cruz Lee)
How old are you? 4 years old ( suppose to answer as I am 4 years old)
What is your favourite food? MCD!!
What is your favourite colour? Black colour
What is your favourite cartoon? Batman!!
After that, the lady ask Cruz to do some face expression, happy face, angry face, sad face and shock face. hahahhahah..he manage to do a few, but to me all looks like happy face! Then, Cruz has to follow the lady read some script and with action, (story is about to make pumpkin soup)..Cruz can follow what the lady said and do with action, but he talk too soft, so the lady have to take a few re-take. Till the last, Cruz got no patient, he just stand there, when the lady said can do one more last time?? He shake his head and said "NO"! *pengsan*!!
Fearles turn...he got the same questions and have to do all the same.
What is your name? Fearles Lee (again, suppose to answer - My name is Fearles Lee)
How old are you? 4 years old (again, suppose to answer - I am 4 years old)
What is your favourite food? *Fearles stand there and smile, don't know how to answer, my keepo Cruz, quickly run in front and WHISPER on Fearles's ear and said "MCD"!!!!
Ah! I got no eye see, everyone at the back is laughing (at that time there are some sexy and pretty "mat salleh" ladies at back waiting for their turn for casting) I have quickly pull Cruz back to the back of the camera, and told him cannot disturb Fearles.
What is your favourite colour? Red colour.
What is your favourite cartoon? *Fearles smilling again and not answering* Cruz answer at the back saying "SPIDERMAN"!!
Those with Cruz's answer on behalf, have to re-take the shoot again. :(
When ask Fearles to do the face expression, happy face, angry face, sad face and shock face, all he does was "SMILLING FACE"!! hahahahhahahhahahhahahah
Come to the script, he can read very loud but cannot do the action. hahahhahahah
Stress?? hahahahah, when one do the casting, i have to stop the other one by running around or running to front of the camera.
If my boys don't get it, i'm happy also, it's a good exposure for them and for myself too.
It took only about 1/2 hour to cast, reached home, three of us are so tired and had a two hours nap!! HAHAHAHAH

Twin's dad birthday...

Yesterday (7/12) was twin's dad birthday, we had a small celebration for him. I didn't buy any gift, but i buy him dinner and a cake. :)
Finish work, rush to Bangsar Village want to get a cake. I remember i saw San Terri Cottage counter at the concourse area last Saturday, thought i can have a quick grab, but walked around, i cannot see that counter anymore and i too lazy to walk over to Bangsar Village II to get from the cafe itself so end up i was at Miki Ojisan No Mise aka Uncle Miki's Shop get a Japanese cheese cake.
We went to Jake's Charbroil Steaks at Medan Damansara for dinner, since my brother was in town , i invite him to join us for dinner. This is the first time we are there, had passed by this place amble time, but we never think of going in there for dinner. Lately one of my friend told me the food there quite nice, so i think why not just go there for dinner.
Very nice environment, quiet and also got the 'cowboy town" feel. Food not too bad, mostly is beef. Let's see what we had...........
